Missing Studio City teen reportedly found after calling home before her vigil

STUDIO CITY >> A 13-year-old girl who went missing from Studio City a week ago has been found, according to a Facebook page dedicated to finding her.

The girl, who went missing Sunday, called home just before a scheduled Friday night vigil, her mother posted on the social media site.

“Minutes before the vigil was to start this evening (she) contacted her mother!” a post attributed to the girl’s mother said Friday. “She is now safe with LAPD and being interviewed.

“More details to follow. Thank you everyone for your support and love,” the post continued.

The 13-year-old, who was reportedly suffering from depression, was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3700 block of Fredonia Drive, walking toward Cahuenga Blvd. Family members and police say she has diabetes and requires medication.
