A domestic violence call prompted a more than four-hour SWAT standoff at a Bay Park home early Saturday, San Diego police said.
Officers received reports about midnight that a man was holding a gun in the home on Galveston Street, police said. The 37-year-old man refused to come outside and told officers he had a gun and was going to shoot police and kill himself, police said.
He surrendered after about four hours and was arrested. The investigation revealed the man had assaulted his live-in girlfriend, police said.
