Antonelli Pond walkers sought

The Land Trust of Santa Cruz County is seeking community members to join its “pond volunteer team” to routinely walk its Antonelli Pond, doing light maintenance and reporting conditions.

Volunteers at Pacific Colligate School and dedicated neighbors have been keeping Land Trust Access Coordinator Ginger Wojciechowski up-to-date on conditions using an online smartphone form. The reports enabled Wojciechowski to track conditions at the pond and respond quickly to situations that warrant it, such as vandalism.

Coffee with a cop continues Tuesday

The Santa Cruz Police Department continues its public ‘Coffee with a Cop’ with its next event from 8-10 a.m. Tuesday at The Buttery, 702 Soquel Ave.

Community members are invited to share their morning coffee with department personnel.

The event stresses “no agenda or speeches.” The public is encouraged to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know officers.


Nissan dealer hosts meeting Wednesday
