Bobcat sighted in Claremont; city issues warning

CLAREMONT >> The city warns that bobcats are increasingly being seen in residential neighborhoods.

A bobcat has recently been sighted by several neighbors in the 2000 block of Navarro Drive, a Facebook posting said.

The city’s warning notes that outdoor pet food bowls, open trash cans and small pets left out at night are a “common target” for predators and can increase the number of wild animals in a neighborhood.

If wildlife is posing an immediate threat, call 911.

To report information about wildlife, contact the Claremont Police Department at 909-399-5411.
