5 detained in Mira Mesa burglary

A group of suspected burglars was arrested shortly after they ran out of Mira Mesa home Friday night, San Diego police said.

A person who lives on Revelstroke Way, near Bootes Street, called police about 7 p.m. to report seeing a group of strangers on a neighbor’s roof, police said. The 911 caller said the neighbor was out of town.

As officers arrived, they saw people running out of the home. They were chased and quickly taken into custody, police said.
