TV tonight: ’12 Monkeys’ returns; ‘The Keepers’ on Netflix

“12 Monkeys” (8 p.m., Syfy): Are you ready for a binge-a-thon? Syfy goes all in on Season 3 of this time-travel thriller with a cool programming stunt. Four episodes will air tonight (with limited commercials), followed by three each on Saturday and Sunday. For the last two seasons, our post-apocalyptic heroes have traveled through time to eradicate the source of a plague that will all but annihilate the human race.  In Season 3, the mission gets personal for James Cole (Aaron Stanford) and Cassie (Amanda Schull) following the bombshell that the destroyer of worlds – a man called “The Witness” – is their unborn son. “The New I Love Lucy Superstar Special” (9 p.m., CBS): Two more vintage (but colorized) episodes from the classic sitcom come our way. The episodes are “The dancing Star” and “Harpo Marx.” Both installments, which originally aired in 1955, find Lucy on an adventure in Hollywood.

“Josh Gates’ Destination Truth” (9 p.m., Travel Channel): The global adventure series sends Josh to the islands of Indonesia in search of the elusive orang pendek. With several local sightings, he is on a mission to find the ape-like hominid that may be inhabiting the forests of Sumatra. Also: A trip to Iceland to uncover the truth behind an aquatic worm monster that reportedly resides in Lake Lagarfljot.
