San Jose police announce city’s 11th homicide, a shooting death in early May

SAN JOSE — Police on Friday reported a homicide that occurred earlier this month, the death of a man who was shot in late April and died a week later.

Hecktor Vincent Lozano, 24, of San Jose, was shot April 30 in the 1200 block of Locust Street, located near Highway 87 and Alma Avenue, according to San Jose police. Lozano, who died May 7, is the city’s 11th homicide victim of 2017.

The shooting and death not reported publicly by police until Friday.

No suspects have been identified or apprehended, according to police.
