RESEDA >> A 20-year-old man critically wounded in a gang-related shooting in Reseda has died, police said today.
The shooting occurred about 10:30 p.m. on April 8 in the 7300 block of Tampa Avenue, between the Sherman Way and Saticoy Street, where the victim and a suspect got into an argument, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
“The suspect produced a handgun and shot the victim,” according to a police statement.
The victim was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where he had been on life support, police said.
He was removed from life support on Wednesday and died from his injuries, according to the LAPD.
Reports from the scene indicated the victim, whose name was not immediately available, had been shot in the neck.
It’s unclear if police arrested the gunman, who was described soon after the shooting as between 18 and 21 years old.
