Police: Napa man arrested for having stolen property

A 19-year-old Napa man was arrested after he was allegedly found with property that had been reported stolen from a vehicle in Alta Heights early Saturday morning, according to Napa Police.

Officers were called out to the area of Clark Street and Meek Avenue in Napa at about 3:20 a.m. for a report of a suspicious vehicle, police said. When they arrived they contacted the driver of the suspect vehicle, Jonah Lowenstein. Police said they located miscellaneous stolen items in the vehicle including car stereos, credit cards, an iPod and a checkbook. The checkbook was linked to a vehicle that had been tampered with earlier in the evening, police said.

Lowenstein was arrested and booked at the Napa County jail on suspicion of possessing stolen property.
