Curry’s shoe auction raises more than $45K for Oakland Fire Relief Fund




Oakland — A couple of pairs of Stephen Curry’s shoes have sold at auction, raising a total of $45,201 for the Oakland Fire Relief fund.

“Steph does so much stuff like this, constantly. Some of it is behind the scenes, some of it is not,” head coach Steve Kerr said. “And I think he and Under Amour have kind of just done a really good job togther of trying to help people and do good things.”

The shoes pay respect to the vicims of the Ghost Ship warehouse fire with graffiti-style lettering and all proceeds from the auction with be used to assist victims and families of the disaster.

“I’m always very proud of Steph and all of our guys. They put together some money as a group, the team did, to donate to the fund. As I said, a lot of our guys have done some things behind the scenes that people don’t know about. So, I’m very proud of them all.”
